Iran ready to help defuse tensions in Turkey-Syria relations: Iranian Majlis speaker

TEHRAN,Oct.9(MNA) -- Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said that Iran is ready to help defuse the tensions created in relations between Turkey and Syria due to the recent exchange of fire. “The escalation of tensions in the region undermines the interests and the principle of unity among Muslim countries across the region,” Larijani told Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek during a telephone conversation on Monday. Larijani emphasized that the current tensions should be defused as soon as possible.
