Tehran to host ECO demography meeting

TEHRAN,Oct.13(MNA) - Tehran will host a working group on demographic statistics and data affiliated with the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) during November 6-7. The working group is tasked with providing the ECO members with data and statistics related to civil registration. ECO is an intergovernmental regional organization established in 1985 by Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey with the aim of promoting economic, technical and cultural cooperation among member states. The organization was expanded in 1992 to include seven new members, namely Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
