Sunni Leader Regrets Muslim Leaders’ Under-reaction On Blasphemous Film

Islamabad, Oct 17, IRNA – Chairman Sunni Ittehad (unity) Council, Sabibzada Fazal Karim, has said the governments of Muslim countries under-reacted to the acts of blasphemy perpetrated across the world.
Addressing the participants of a train-march after arriving at Rawalpindi City, he said that United Nations should legislate in this regard to stop the blasphemy of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and insulting of Quran and Islam.
“Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should meet in Makkah Mukarama or Medina Munawwara to make laws against such profanities”, he added.
If the people of Pakistan demand a military operation against the terrorists the army should go for it, he said adding, but it should refrain from entertaining American interests.
According to Karim, the train march helped the people understand they should stand up against the scourge of terrorism.
Sabibzada Fazal Karim termed the opponents of women's education as enemies of Islam and said that Taliban have not attacked Malala Yousufzai, a 14-year old education rights activist, instead they have attacked the whole system,” said he.
The Sunni Ittehad (unity) Council, organized Tahaffuz-e-Namoos Rasalat (Defense of sanctity of Prophet Mohammad) train-march, which started from Karachi, culminated in Rawalpindi after a tedious journey of 36 hours./end
