Iran advises Bahrain to meet public demands instead of leveling allegations

TEHRAN,Oct.17(MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said that it would be better if the Bahraini government takes the measures necessary to respond to public demands instead of leveling false allegations against other countries.
Mehmanparast made the remarks during his regular press briefing on Tuesday in reply to a question about the fact that Bahrain summoned Iran’s charge d’affaires on Monday to protest against what it claimed Tehran’s interference in its internal affairs.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said, “We have always announced that paying attention to the people’s demands can help create stability and might for a country and that ignoring their demands only further complicates their problems.”
“We think that, in terms of politics, the people should be provided with an opportunity to participate in running their country. Attention should be paid to their demands instead of taking security measures and suppressing the people. Then, there will be no need to make accusations against other countries,” he added.
