Iran`s Persepolis linked with Appiah move: report

TEHRAN,Nov.6(MNA) – Iranian football club Persepolis has been linked with move to sign in former Juventus midfielder Stephen Appiah, the Iranian unofficial sources reported. Persepolis has reached an agreement with Appiah’s agent and he is expected to participate in the team’s training soon. Persepolis has reportedly negotiated with former Barcelona and Chelsea midfielder Deco, who currently plays for Brazilian team Fluminense. After South Korean Kwon Jun left Persepolis due to a foot injury, the team’s officials are seeking to bolster their midfield. Stephen Appiah has played for Udinese, Parma, Juventus, Fenerbahce and Serbian club Vojvodina. The 31-year-old midfielder has made 69 appearances for Ghana football team and scored 16 goals. Appiah captained Ghana at their World Cup debut in 2006 and was a member of their squad for the 2010 World Cup.
