Exports By Cooperatives Sector Stands At dlrs 1bn

Isfahan, Nov 7, IRNA – Deputy Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social welfare, Gholamhossein Hosseini Niya said on Tuesday that the shares of the cooperatives sector in the country's total non-oil exports stood at dlrs one billion this year. Speaking to IRNA, he said the share of exports made by border cooperatives was valued at dlrs 520 million this year. Cooperatives sector plays a significant role in promoting production inside and outside the country, he said. Cooperatives sector also plays a leading role in regulating markets and distribution of goods nationwide, he said. Cooperatives sector can also foil impacts of economic sanctions imposed against the country, he said. There are 181 active cooperatives firms with over 43 million members across the country, Hosseininia said./end
