Parisian gallery busy with two Iranian art shows

TEHRAN,Nov.7(MNA) -- The Nicolas Flamel Gallery, a favorite haunt of Iranian artists in Paris, has organized exhibitions of works by Nasser Ovissi and Arman Estepanian for the rest of November.
An exhibition of the latest works by the U.S.-based Iranian painter Ovissi opened at the gallery on Tuesday and will run until November 16.
Ovissi, 78, has been listed in the Benezit Dictionary of Artists, an extensive French publication of bibliographical information on painters, sculptors, designers and engravers created primarily for art museums, auction houses, historians and dealers.
Ovissi blends ancient themes with modern technique; he is very much a post-modernist, finding beauty in many of its traditional sources and recreating it for all visitors to see, U.S. author and art critic Frank Getlein once said.
The gallery will also be playing host to an exhibition of photos by Estepanian from November 19 to 28.
Stepanian uses his camera as a tool to create a way to bring out his own inner feelings and thoughts towards the human experiences of worry and sadness.
The Nicolas Flamel Gallery held two exhibitions by renowned Iranian cartoonist Kambiz Derambakhsh in December 2011, and May and June 2012.
