Iran says is ready to send humanitarian aid to Gaza

TEHRAN,Nov.18(MNA) – During a telephone conversation with Hamas Political Bureau chief Khaled Meshaal on Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said that the Islamic Republic is ready to send humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which has recently come under attack by the Zionist regime.
Salehi also condemned the Israeli attacks and expressed the Iranian nation’s solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Meshaal, for his part, thanked Iran for supporting the Palestinian nation and expressed satisfaction with the fact that the resistance is capable of defending Palestine.
He also said that Israel’s recent military operation against the Gaza Strip illustrates the continuation of the Zionist regime’s weakness and defeats.
In another telephone conversation with Islamic Jihad Secretary General Ramadan Abdullah on Friday, Salehi stated that Iran will continue its political support for the Palestinian nation.
He also offered his condolences over the death of a number of Palestinians in the Israeli attacks and expressed hope that the Palestinian nation would emerge victorious in the war.
He added that Iran is ready to provide humanitarian assistance, particularly food and medicine, to Palestinians.
Ramadan Abdullah briefed the Iranian foreign minister on the latest developments in Gaza and thanked the Islamic Republic for supporting the Palestinian nation.
