Iran’s Asadi wins gold in Slovenia chess event

TEHRAN,Nov.20(MNA)--Motahare Asadi from Iran won the gold medal of the World Youth Chess Championships 2012 on Sunday. In the competitions held in Maribor, Slovenia from November 7-19 Asadi finished at the first place in the U8 Girls section where she collected 10.5 points. Taisiya Tereshechkina from Russia seize the silver medal with 9.0 points and Hungary’s Judit Juhasz claimed the bronze with 8.5 points. Around 158 young players took part in twelve age categories. Motahare Asadi was awarded by Russian chess legend Garry Kasparov.
