Iran U-16 Women's football team beats India

TEHRAN,Nov.27(MNA)--Iran defeated India in its opening match of the 2013 AFC U-16 Women's Championship qualification on Monday. In the match held at the City Football Complex in Colombo, Sri Lanka, the Iranian team beat India 5-2 in Group B. Mahtab Banaei and Zahra Ahmadizade scored two goals each and Amineh Borazjani scored one goal for Iran in the match. Iran is to play Uzbekistan on Wednesday. A total of 14 teams divided into four regional groups. After playing each other once the group winners and second placed teams qualify for final tournament. The top three Asian teams will compete in the 2014 U-17 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.
