Drawings by Iranian artist selected for U.S. art show

TEHRAN,Dec.1(MNA) -- Drawings by the Iranian artist Mehrdad Khataii have been selected for an exhibition, which will be held at the Box Heart Gallery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States, from January 8 to February 2. The two works are from his collection “Lost at the Pigsty”, the gallery has announced. Nineteen works by other artists around the world will also be showcased at the exhibition entitled “Art Inter/National, Here and Abroad… 2013”. Art Inter/National is a celebration of artistic expression from all over the world. It is an exhibition that displays how the space one occupies both influences and guides the creative process. Box Heart encourages diversity in the media used to create artworks, in the artists themselves, and in his/her interpretation of Art Inter/National. Box Heart will named one artist “Artist of the Year” at the end of the show and the winner will receive a solo exhibition in the 2014.
