Iran`s Mehdi Hashemi released from prison on bail of about $8 million

TEHRAN,Dec.18(MNA) – Mehdi Hashemi, the son of Iran’s Expediency Council Chairman Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, was released from prison on Sunday on a bail of 100,000,000,000 rials ($8,156,606), Iranian Judiciary spokesman Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Ejeii announced on Monday. He faces charges of inciting unrest after the 2009 presidential election. Mohseni-Ejeii also stated that an indictment will be issued for him in the near future.
