IRGC focusing on enemy’s cultural, economic, and political warfare: general

TEHRAN,Dec.19(MNA) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’ main priority is to maintain and enhance its preparedness in the areas of cultural, economic, and political warfare, the IRGC commander said on Tuesday. “Unlike the first decade of the revolution when military and security threats were there and were a priority, today, the military threat is there but is not a priority, and cultural, economic, and political warfare is an issue, and the Sepah (IRGC) has a responsibility to defend the revolution in these areas,” Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari stated. He added, “What is important is to understand what threats are renewed at every juncture and to prepare ourselves to defend (the country) against the threats through maintaining our defense and military preparedness.”
