Iran targeted by new data-wiping malware

TEHRAN,Dec.19(MNA) – Iran’s Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Center (MAHER) issued a statement on Sunday saying that the country’s computers were the target of a malware capable of wiping disk partitions clean of data. “Despite its simplicity in design, the malware is efficient,” part of the statement read. However, MAHER stated that the targeted attack is not similar to the other sophisticated targeted attacks.
