‘Rafsanjani may support Nateq Nouri or Rohani for presidential candidacy’

TEHRAN,Dec.27(MNA) - Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani may support the candidacy of former Majlis speaker Ali Akbar Nateq Nouri or Director of the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council Hassan Rohani in the 2013 presidential election in line with his push to form a “national unity government”, Expediency Council member Ali Asgari told the Mehr News Agency on Wednesday. Nateq Nouri, a conservative politician, has so far ruled out presidential candidacy. However, Rohani, a former Supreme National Security Council secretary and chief nuclear negotiator during the Khatami presidency, has kept silence over candidacy.
