Iran`s Behdad Salimi will likely undergo shoulder surgery

TEHRAN,Dec.30(MNA) – The world’s most powerful weightlifter Behdad Salimi is likely to have surgery on his shoulder, an Iranian sports official said. President of the Sports Medicine Federation of Iran, Lotfali Pour-Kazemi, said the Iranian star lifter will have to undergo an MRI scan first and if necessary he will undergo a shoulder surgery. “We have the best orthopedic surgeons in Iran and Salimi will not go abroad for surgery,” he said. “Salimi has no serious health problems and could set a new record in the next Olympics in Brazil,” Pour-Kazemi concluded.
