Iranian artists from 45 countries apply to participate in Fajr festival

TEHRAN,Dec.31(MNA) – Artists from 45 countries have applied to participate in the Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts this year. Cartoonists from 30 countries, photographers from nine countries and poster designers of six nationalities submitted their works to the secretariat of the gala. However, the festival’s officials expect more submissions up to the deadline for the gala on January 4. Applicants are from Canada, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Brazil, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, France, Jordan, Serbia and several other countries. Painting, calligraphy, miniature, pottery and ceramics, illustration and sculpture are other sections of the festival, which are national competitions. The festival will be held from February 2 to 30 in Tehran.
