Australia heads UN body overseeing sanctions against Iran

TEHRAN,Jan.7(MNA) – Australia has been handed a lead role in managing global sanctions against Iran in one of its first tasks on the UN Security Council, the Australian reported on Sunday. According to the report, Australia has been appointed chair of a Security Council body that oversees the sanctions regime against Iran over its nuclear program.
