Iranian writer works on Bin Laden novel
TEHRAN,Jan.7(MNA) -- Iranian author Mehdi Rezaii, whose works concern social disorder, has recently begun writing a novel about Osama bin Laden.
He has entitled this novel “I Killed Bin Laden”.
However he said, “When I begin writing, I never can answer what the subject of the work is.”
“Because, when I commence writing a story, it lacks coherence of theme at the beginning,” he added.
“Most of the novels I have written analyze the disorder I see around me and in the society. But ‘I Killed Bin Laden’ is set in various other parts of the world,” he stated.
He said that he would complete the novel in two years.
Rezaii spent ten years writing his first novel “Who Is Afraid of Crazies?” which was published in spring 2011.
The book, which presents a dark aspect of society, received mixed reviews in official and literary circles.
“Our society lacks caring and concern. We all are uncaring in our behavior and unconcerned with what happens in the society,” he said in an interview in July 2011.
“Thus, this lack of caring and concern has caused culture and morals to fade from the society,” he added.
He is also currently reading through his second novel “The Forgotten Time”, which focuses on the Iranian student community and their thoughts.
