‘Consensus on a single principlist candidate not feasible’

TEHRAN,Jan.8(MNA) – Ayatollah Mohammad Taqi Mesbah Yazdi said that reaching a consensus on a single principlist candidate for the 2013 presidential election is not feasible.
It cannot be expected that the principlists agree on one candidate unless the situation develops in such a way that “if we do not vote for this person, a corrupt person would win the vote,” Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi stated during a meeting with a number of the members of the central council of the Islamic Revolution Devotees Society on Monday.
He also called on the principlist groups to refrain from damaging each other’s reputation, saying that they all pursue a common goal, which is serving the religion and the revolution.
