Salehi : Iran Keen On Enhanced Political Ties With Ghana

Accra, Jan 9, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on Tuesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran is keen on enhanced political relations with the Ghanaian government.
He conferred with Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama on ways to develop political relations between Tehran and Accra.
Salehi conveyed the warm greetings of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Ghanaian president.
The foreign minister said that he was pleased with economic growth of Ghana.
"Ghana has experienced a good economic growth among other African states and the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to transfer its experiences in economy, industry and pharmaceutical sectors to Ghana."
Referring the active presence of Iran's Red Crescent Society as well as Islamic Azad University in Ghana, he said Iran is ready to render invaluable services to the people of Ghana.
President John Dramani Mahama has been recently elected with 50.7 percent of votes.
He has served as Ghanaian member of parliament and cabinet minister so far./end
