Iran’s Arash Amini to conduct Kazakhstan State Symphony Orchestra

TEHRAN,Jan.14(MNA) -- Iranian musician Arash Amini will conduct the Kazakhstan State Symphony Orchestra during a concert in Akmola on January 17.
Works by Fikret Amirov from Azerbaijan, Heshmat Sanjari and Loris Tjeknavorian from Iran, Aram Khachaturian from Armenia and several other composers will be performed during the concert that has been entitled “The Dream of an Eastern Night”, the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) announced in a press release on Sunday.
The concert is part “Listen to Us III”, a musical program that the institute has organized to highlight works by the leading composers in the ECO region.
Amini is the director of the ECI Music Department and the artist director of Iran’s Rudaki Symphony Orchestra.
He received Tajikistan’s highest national honorary award on November 18, 2011 after he conducted the Opera Orchestra of Dushanbe during a concert held in Dushanbe by the culture ministry of the country to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence.
