Vietnam, China mass organisations further cooperation
Beijing (VNA) - A delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) led by its President Huynh Dam is on a working visit to China from Oct.
26-30 at the invitation of the National Committee of the Chinese People's
Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
The Vietnamese delegation and the CPPCC's delegation held a working
session on Oct. 26, at which they agreed to continue the implementation of a
memorandum of understanding signed in November 2006 in Beijing , which
aimed to strengthen the Vietnam-China friendly and cooperative relations.
On Oct. 27, the VFF delegation was received by Chinese National Assembly
Chairman Wu Bangguo, who affirmed that the Chinese Party and State place
importance on the relations with Vietnam .
Chairman Wu said he hoped the two countries' largest mass organisations
would further their cooperation to contribute to the Vietnam-China rapport.
The same day, CPPCC Chairman Jia Qinglin received the VFF delegation.
Both the host and guest stressed the need to enhance the two organisations'
relations, thus helping to reinforce the solidarity, friendship and
cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples under the motto of
"friendly neighbourliness, comprehensive cooperation, long-term stability
and looking towards the future" and in the spirit of "good neighbours, good
friends, good comrades, and good partners".
Earlier, the Vietnam delegation visited the CPPCC's Beijing chapter
and the Yizhuang Economic and Technological Development Area in the Chinese
capital city.
From Oct. 28-30, the delegation will visit the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous
Region in south China.-Enditem
