About 3000 Iranians held in foreign prisons

TEHRAN,Jan.20(MNA) – About 3000 Iranian nationals are being held in prisons abroad, the director of the Foreign Ministry department for Iranian expatriates’ affairs told . Kazem Sajjadi said that most of the inmates are imprisoned in Malaysia, Azerbaijan, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey, and most of them are convicted of involvement in illicit drugs business.
