Iranian MPs visit Tehran’s Evin Prison

TEHRAN,Jan.23(MNA) – A number of MPs sitting on the Majlis National Security Subcommittee visited Tehran’s Evin Prison on Monday. MP Mehdi Davatgari told on Tuesday that the MPs met with a number of prisoners, including Faezeh Hashemi, the daughter of Expediency Council Chairman Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, who is serving a six-month sentence for spreading propaganda against the Islamic system. He said that Faezeh Hashemi made some remarks about other female prisoners, which were mostly complaints and should be looked into.
