IRGC chief hopes Syria will respond to Israeli aggression

TEHRAN,Feb.4(MNA) – The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Sunday that he hoped Syria would respond to Israel for the airstrike it launched on the country last Wednesday.
On January 30, the Syrian army issued a statement saying two people were killed and five others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a research center in Jamraya, which is located near the capital. The statement called the attack a “blatant act of aggression” and condemned Israel for supporting Syrian terrorists.
Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said, “The powerful country of Syria has so far put up resistance in the face of threats, and we hope that it will respond to the Zionist regime’s act of aggression,” adding, “The Zionist regime can be confronted only with resistance and retaliation.”
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has revealed the barbarous and aggressive nature of the Zionist regime for years, and in this regard, we also tell the world’s people that this incident is another example of the Zionist regime’s acts of aggression and barbarism,” he added.
IRGC has built supersonic wind tunnel
Elsewhere in his remarks, Jafari announced that the IRGC had designed and built an advanced supersonic wind tunnel which could be used to test domestically manufactured missiles and space rockets.
“This is a great infrastructural achievement… In the past, we had to send abroad most of our missiles and aerospace equipment to be tested, and their information used to be disclosed, but our information will not be disclosed and we will make a saving in the defense budget with this achievement,” he said.
