Iranian fleet to pass through Strait of Malacca

TEHRAN,Feb.19(MNA) – A fleet of Iranian warships, which has set sail for the eastern part of the Indian Ocean, will pass through the Strait of Malacca, which is a narrow, 805 km stretch of water between the Malay Peninsula and the Indonesian island of Sumatra, the commander of the Iranian Navy announced on Monday. Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said that the Iranian warships will dock in Sri Lanka or India or China.
