Commander of Royal Navy of Oman holds talks with Iranian admiral
TEHRAN,March 12(MNA) – Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Ra’eesi, commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), held talks with Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, commander of Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Muscat on Sunday, Oman News Agency reported.
During the meeting, the RNO commander welcomed the Iranian guest and his accompanying delegation, wishing them a good visit to the sultanate.
The meeting reviewed the fields of cooperation between RNO and the Iranian Navy, besides exchanging viewpoints on a number of issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by a number of senior officers and the military attaché at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Lt Gen Ahmed bin Harith Al Nabhani, chief of staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), also received Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari.
The meeting was attended by Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Ra’eesi, commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) and Brigadier Rashid bin Saif AlShidi, assistant SAF chief of staff for operations and planning.
