Thai flowery business expected to sustain growth

BANGKOK, March 16 (TNA) - Thailand’s flowery business is expected to sustain growth following the formation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) by 2015. Kampol Tansatcha , Director of Nong Nooch Garden, said on Saturday that the Thai flowery business has already attracted and gained popularity among flower lovers in member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Kampol acknowledged that flower growers in Thailand have, over the past several years, become enthusiastic in finding new and exciting flower seedlings and grown in this country. Kampol pointed out, however, that Singapore is now the ASEAN leader in growing beautiful trees, as the Island State realises about the beauty of trees and has attempted to make country become the “Garden State” by growing plenty of trees on the island. Kampol’s remarks were made as he led about 100 gardeners to beautify the compound of MCOT Public Company (MCOT), free of charges, noting he appreciated that MCOT is doing good deeds for the society.(TNA)
