APEC LEADERS TO MEET IN LIMA
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 1 (Bernama) -- Leaders and representatives of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation's (Apec) 21-member economies will coordinate responses to the current financial crisis, human security and social equity during their annual meeting in Lima, Peru in November.
In a statement here, the Apec secretariat said the 16th annual Apec
Economic
Leaders' Meeting would be the culmination of the actions, discussions and
endorsements that had taken place throughout this year.
The meeting, themed 'A New Commitment to Asia-Pacific Development' will
start from Nov 22 to 23.
Prior to the Leaders' Meeting, related events to be held would include Apec
Concluding Senior Officials' Meeting (Nov 16-17), Apec Business Advisory Council
(Nov 18-20), Apec Ministers' Meeting (Nov 19-20) and Apec CEO Summit (Nov
20-22).
