PM:Talks with insurgents in Thai far South is in initial stage

BANGKOK, April 3 (TNA) - Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra says that peace talks between the Thai government, through the National Security Council (NSC), and insurgents in the Thai far South is at the initial stage of building mutual trust and it will take some times for real peace negotiations to start. Yingluck told reporters on Wednesday that he would not like people to view continual violent incidents in the southernmost Thai region as the acts of opponents to the NSC's peace talks with insurgents because steps of solutions are sensitive. Yingluck suggested, however, that concerned parties work harder in the troubled Thai deep South, noting that her government is also deploying more security officers there. (TNA)
