Asia Pacific's Medical Experts On Breast Cancer To Converge In Malaysia This Month
KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 (Bernama) -- Global medical experts on breast cancer
will converge in Malaysia for the 2nd Asia Pacific Breast Cancer Summit 2013
(APBC Summit 2013) to be held at the Shangri-La hotel, here from April 11 to 13.
Supported by the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), the APBC
Summit 2013 will be attended by global medical experts specifically in the
subject of breast cancer from the United Kingdom, the US, Australia, Singapore
and Middle East.
CEO of MyCEB Zulkefli Sharif said themed 'Reaching New Heights in Breast
Cancer Care', the objective of the conference is to help health care
professionals to decipher the new technologies, imaging and treatments and
methods to be practiced in their medical treatments.
"MyCEB is a proud supporter of this conference which will make a difference
in our global population's quality of life. To have world experts on the subject
to converge in our country and discuss the way forward in providing care for
cancer patients will definitely put Malaysia on the world map.
"We hope that delegates will be able to have a beneficial meeting and at the
same time enjoy our beautiful country," he said in a statement here Monday.
He said cutting edge research and vision for the future of breast cancer
treatments will also be shared as part of the on-going discussions.
Activities also include interactive conference workshops based on the last
feedback from participants and the APBC Summit 2013 is expected to welcome 250
delegates into the country which is estimated to generate an economic impact
worth close to RM930,000 (US$310,000) he added.
