Ahmadinejad Officially Welcomes Burundian President

Tehran, April 10, IRNA – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad officially welcomed visiting Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza at the presidential palace on Tuesday. Senior presidential advisor Seyyed Mojtaba Samareh Hashemi, Vice President for Social Affairs Abdolreza Sheikholeslami, political deputy of presidential office Mohammad Jafar Behdad and the head of presidential office communication department Mohammad Sheikhan were present at the ceremony. The Burundian president is scheduled to meet with a number of high-ranking Iranian officials during his stay in Tehran. After the ceremony, delegations of the two countries started official talks. A number of Burundian ministers are accompanying Nkurunziza in his visit. Burundi is a country located in central Africa. Its capital is Bujumbura and it is bordered by Uganda, Congo, Rwanda and Tanzania./end
