Goudarzi likely to wrestle with Burroughs in New York

TEHRAN,April 17(MNA)--Sadegh Goudarzi will likely travel to the United States to participate in an exhibition match at New York's Times Square. Goudarzi will wrestle with his arch-rival Jordan Burroughs in the exhibition match. The Iranian lost to Burroughs in the final of the men's 74kg freestyle wrestling at the Olympics. Goudarzi did not participate in the training camp and the officials will decide whether to take him or not within the next few days. The Iranian freestyle team will leave Tehran on May 11 to participate in the event. The United States Wrestling Federation has said that a dual meet will be held on May 16. Iran beat the U.S. 6-1 at the sold-out Azadi Sports Complex, in the 2013 Freestyle Wrestling World Cup held in Tehran in February. Last year, the U.S. wrestling team defeated Russia 4-3 in a dual meet at the Times Square.
