Armed forces will counter any election-related unrest:Iranian general

TEHRAN,April 23(MNA) – A senior Iranian military official said that armed forces are prepared to counter any unrest that may result from the June presidential election. Major General Hassan Firouzabadi, the chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, told the Mehr News Agency on Monday that security forces are monitoring the electoral atmosphere in the country to find out any potential “sedition”.
