Iran seeks dialogue among rival Iraqi groups

TEHRAN,May 1(MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi called for dialogue between all rival Iraqi political groups to end the sectarian strife in the Arab country. In a meeting on Monday with Ammar Hakim, the chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Salehi also congratulated the Iraqi government for its successful handling of the council election in the country. Iraq held provincial council elections on April 20, the first elections after the withdrawal of U.S. troops.
