‘Rohani has not withdrawn presidential candidacy in favor of Rafsanjani’

TEHRAN,May 13(MNA) – The election campaign office of Hassan Rohani on Saturday dismissed the news reports claiming that Rohani had withdrawn his candidacy in favor of Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani. “If a decision is made in this regard, it will be formally announced by his spokesman,” the head of Rohani’s election office, Mohsen Salehi, said. Rafsanjani registered for the presidential election at the closing hours on Saturday.
