Six candidates withdraw from presidential election

TEHRAN,May 15(MNA) – Head of Iran's Elections Headquarters Solat Mortazavi announced that six hopefuls, who had signed up for the June presidential election, have withdrawn their candidacy. In an interview with the Interior Ministry website on Tuesday, Mortazavi said First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi and Agricultural Minister Sadeq Khalilian are among the six candidates who have officially withdrawn from the election.
