Iran defeats U.S. wrestling team in New York

TEHRAN,May 19(MNA) – Iran freestyle wrestling team beat the United States 6-1 in “The Rumble on the Rails” on Wednesday. It was a sellout crowd at historic Grand Central Terminal in New York City. The friendly match was organized in a move to let the International Olympic Committee change its decision about excluding wrestling from the 2020 Olympic Games. Another match between the U.S. and Iran was expected to hold in Los Angeles, California, on May 19 but the Persians returned to Iran. The match has been cancelled.
