Aref vows to rehabilitate Iran’s image

TEHRAN,May 25(MNA) – Presidential candidate Mohammad Reza Aref said that he will make efforts to rehabilitate the image of Iran in the world and eliminate the bane of Iranophobia if he is elected president. Talking to a group of university students in Tehran on Thursday, Aref added that Iran should expand its friendly ties with countries such as Non-Aligned Movement member states to develop better relations with the world. In an article published on his website to mark the anniversary of the 2nd of Khordad (May 23), the day Mohammad Khatami won a landslide victory in the 1997 presidential election, Aref also said, “If we are hopeful, patient, and steadfast, another 2nd of Khordad will be on the way.”
