My dreams come true, Haddadi says

TEHRAN,May 26(MNA) – Phoenix Suns center Hamed Haddadi said that his dreams came true after he joined the NBA.
Haddadi joined the Memphis Grizzlies On August 28, 2008 as a free-agent. The 7-foot-2 logged 235 with Phoenix, playing more than a fifth of his career minutes. He averaged 2.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 10.7 minutes per game.
“I was in Memphis for five years and didn’t get a chance to play,” he said.
The 28-year-old basketball player joined Phoenix Suns in late February.
“I wanted to play in the NBA since I was a kid. I was watching the NBA competitions at 6 a.m. in Iran,” Haddadi said.
“I could not believe that I’ve joined the NBA team, however I had some difficulties in the U.S., since I was just 23,” the Iranian said.
“My favorite player was Shaquille O'Neal. I was dreaming to see him but I played against him here and I am so satisfied with this,” he told.
Hamed Haddadi just finished his fifth NBA season while participating in 30 games, including 17 for the Phoenix Suns.
