Green light for opening of second private bank
(KPL) S.T Company Group announced that it would be establishing a private bank in Laos as the Lao government had given her the green light on 5 October. This is the second time that the Lao government granted the private bank license to bank investors.
Mr Phoutthasone Chantho, an official of S.T.Bank told KPL News yesterday that the company would invest 100 billion kip as registered capital and in addition it would be building its bank premises in Sihom village, Chanthaboury district, Vientiane Capital.
“ We plan to officially open our bank in 2009 and later we would open branches in Luang Prabang, Champassack and Savannakhet provinces,” said Mr Phoutthasone.
