The Government of Mongolia has decided to support youth and students to study at the world’s best universities and institutes with funding from the State Academic Fund.
Thus, the tuition fee payable by the Mongolian students who study at the best universities ranked within the first 20 in the world will be financed from the above-mentioned Fund based on their request without regards to the profession they are majoring in. But, the tuition fee for the students who study at universities ranked from 21st to 100th in the world will be financed taking into consideration a list of most needed professions announced by the Mongolian government.
The State Budget of every year shall include expenses required for financing the study of Mongolian students at the world’s best universities with funding from the State Academic Fund of Mongolia.

Previously, the State has been granted tuition for the Mongolian youth studying at the world best 50 universities. Now the numbers of such universities are increased up to 100. The only requirement for the students eligible for the State Academic Fund is to work in their mother land after graduation from university.
By doing so, Mongolian students are encouraged to study at the world’s best universities so as to obtain high quality of education.
Mongolia essentially needs in the skilled cadres due to its intensive development. Mongolian citizens have been started to study in the foreign countries since 1926. Then, in the period of socialism Mongolians have obtained the profession mostly in such countries as the former Soviet Uniion , Germany, Bulgaria, Czech etc., however, a broad opportunity to study in any corner of the world was opened for Mongolians after the democratic revolution in 1990.
The Government of the country carries out a policy on letting our youth to learn in the world top universities and using their knowledge and education properly for the sake of country’s development and prosperity.
