Behdad Salimi invited to Iran weightlifting team

TEHRAN,June 10(MNA) - Olympic gold medalist Behdad Salimi was invited to Iran weightlifting team on Sunday. Salimi had withdrawn from national team after a quarrel with Iran coach Kourosh Bagheri. The super heavyweight lifter has not participated in any competitions since the 2012 Olympic Games. The 23-year-old hoisted a total of 455 kilograms to win the gold medal in the Olympic Games. Iran weightlifting team is preparing itself for the 2013 World Weightlifting Championships, which will be held in Warsaw, Poland from October 16 to 27.
