Yudhoyono Asks S Korea To Increase Coop In Creative Industry
Nusa Dua, Bali, June 14 (Antara) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has asked South Korea to increase cooperation in creative industry, according to his special staff.
"In various dimensions, creative industry also needs high technology and therefore Indonesia asks South Korea to cooperate in that field," presidential special staff for international relations Teku Faizasyah said here on Friday.
He said President Yudhoyono made the request when receiving an honorary visit by South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se in the sidelines of the 6th Foreign Ministers Meeting of Forum for East Asia and Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC), held in Nusa Dua, Bali, from June 13-14, 2013.
"During the meeting, President Yudhoyono and Byung-se agreed that the two countries would pay attention to the cooperation in the creative industry," Faizasyah said.
According to him, they also emphasized on the importance of other cooperation in the field of trade and investment.
President Yudhoyono on Friday also met with foreign affairs ministers, vice ministers and senior officials from the 36 FEALAC member countries namely Indonesia, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Japan, South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Mongolia, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Equador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, peru, Dominican republic, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Indonesia and Colombia are co-host of the 6th Foreign Ministers Meeting of Forum for East Asia and Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC). The meeting aims to establish mutual understanding, political dialogue and increase friendly cooperation between countries in the two regions.
Apart from ministers, FEALAC meeting in Bali is also participated in by representatives from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP).
