EMIRATES SUPPORTS AIRFARE TRANSPARENCY

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7 (Bernama) -- Emirates Airlines has expressed support to
regulate advertising of all-in prices in Malaysia as advocated by the Malaysian
Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA).

Its Country Manager Alban Lee said Emirates believes the all-in pricing
inclusive of taxes, surcharges and fees must be made transparent as this will
make it more convenient for customers to make their purchasing decision.

"There should not be any hidden cost and advertisements should clearly
state any optional services are chargeable," he said in a statement
Friday.

With greater transparency for customers, he said, it will also be easier
for travel agents to sell airline tickets and provide customers with the exact
airfare amount for their travel.

In line with its commitment in ensuring best practices across all facets of
its business, the Dubai-based airline is the first to incorporate its fuel
surcharges into its published airfare rate.
