Foreign stage artists donate national puppets to IIDCYA
TEHRAN,July 4(MNA)-- Foreign stage artists from Germany, India, Norway and Argentina donated their national puppets to Iran’s Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) on Tuesday.
The artists arrived in Tehran last week to participate in the Children’s Theater Market, which was organized by the IIDCYA from June 29 to July 3.
They presented their puppets after Iranian puppeteers Nasser Avijeh and Behnaz Mehdikhah performed a show by Mobarak, Iran’s national marionette.
Indian playwright Ashish Kumar Ghosh donated three shadow puppets as well as two marionettes to IIDCYA after the performance.
Oystein Ulsberg Brager from Norway gave their national Fawn Finger Puppet to the institute. He said that the history of puppet show in his country dates back to about sixty years ago.
Malte Pfeiffer presented a Kasper or Kasperle, a German hand puppet and Cristian Eduardo Palacios from Argentina gave three hand puppets and two marionettes.
