American scientists visit Republican Seismological Survey Center of Azerbaijan

Baku, August 28 (AzerTAc). Employees of the U.S. Department of Energy`s (DOE) Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), including Rengin Gok and Robert Mellors, have visited the Republic Seismological Survey Centre of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (RSSC ANAS). Chief Director of RSSC, Ph.D. Gurban Yetirmishli briefed the scientists about the seismic researches carried out in Azerbaijan. The American scientists also visited the monitoring center of the Republican Seismological Service. They were given detailed information about the work done at the monitoring center. The meeting also focused on expansion of bilateral cooperation and implementation of joint projects.
