MALAYSIA WILL NOT ISSUE TRAVEL WARNING FOR INDONESIA

PUTRAJAYA, Nov 12 (Bernama) -- The government will not issue a travel
warning for Indonesia despite threats of reprisal attacks following the
execution of the Bali bombers.

"We will not issue any travel advice following the issue," Foreign Minister
Dr Rais Yatim told reporters after attending the Malaysia-Iran Joint
Commission meeting here Tuesday.

Indonesia executed three Muslim militant group Jemaah Islamiah members,
Imam Samudra, 38, Mukhlas, 48, and his brother, Amrozi, 47, early Sunday for the
2002 Bali nightclub bombings in which 202 people died, including 88 Australians
and 38 Indonesians.

Asked whether former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra had applied for
political asylum in Malaysia, Rais said Thaksin had not done so.
