TRAVELLERS CAN LOOK FOR BEST AIRFARES DEAL AT NEW SINGAPORE PORTAL

SINGAPORE, Nov 12 (Bernama) -- The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has launched a new online website portal which offers some of the best airfares through Singapore.

The website, ViaSingapore.com, enables users to compare the best deals
available for flights into and out of Singapore, including fares on both full
service carriers and low-cost carriers, as well as book the selected
flights.

In a statement Wednesday, CAAS said the portal also allowed travellers to
tap on Singapore Changi Airport's extensive connectivity to use Singapore as a
starting point or a base to explore the Asia-Pacific region.

The introduction of the portal was part of CAAS' ongoing efforts to enhance
Changi Airport's attractiveness as an air hub, said CAAS director-general and
chief executive officer Lim Kim Choon.

Besides offering attractive airfares, users can find information on
accommodation, tour packages and upcoming events on ViaSingapore.
